The Abitana multimedia home networking solution revolves around a shielded RJ45 plug and a unique shielded 4 pair hybrid cable comprising of 3 x CAT5e pairs and 1 x CAT7+ pair enhanced & capable of 900Mhz, instead of the standard 550Mhz frequency. This enables all essential data & voice services including TV/Video to be distributed around a house/ small office environment. The higher frequency pair eliminates the need for bulky expensive coax to be laid in addition to the CAT5e cable. A neatly designed low profile enclosure based on a snap on rail design, which can incorporate Abitana's own active equipment, such as a video splitter, stackable Ethernet switch, ADSL router and audio modulator. These can be patched to the desired location allowing any one service from that connection. With IR bus receivers & emitters, all user devices on the network, such as DVD's, Video's, Freeveiw, Satellite, IP camera's, Speakers, security devices can be also easily accessed via a programmable remote control.
